Background / Biography
The Conflicted was formed in late 2005 with the original lineup of Tim Hughes on bass, Josh Brown on guitar, and Ryan Harding on drums, with Tim and Josh splitting most of the vocals. Together, the three recorded and released their first EP, “Power Chords and Roots”, and began playing shows in the Northern Virginia area.
More than a year later, the lineup has changed substantially… and the music with it. Ryan Harding has since bowed out of the band, with Bruce Foote stepping in as his replacement. Tim moved to the sole role of lead singer, and the band took on James T. Majewski as a new bassist.
With these changes, The Conflicted has not lost sight of their original goal: creating a new sound for the Punk Rock scene in Northern Virginia. By creating a fusion of high-octane, hardcore punk, and catchy, danceable groove riffs, the band has come into their own with a sound unlike anything else in the punk scene right now.
Currently, the band is preparing to record their first full-length album, while still playing shows in and around the Northern Virginia area. This site is managed by the band, and you can contact us for any reason either here or at theband@theconflicted.com
